Revalco safety valves

Introduction
Revalco Safety valves are springloaded safety devices for protection against inadmissable pressures.

The valves can be used for protection of pressure vessels, compressors, liquid lines and in all places where overpressure could severely damage the installation and/or the surroundings

Working media
Applicable for all common refrigerants such as NH3, R22, R134A, R404A, R502, R507, R404A, R407C, R410A and non-corrosive gases/liquids. When using brines or refrigerants other then the above mentioned please consult your local Revalco representative.

Testing and Certification
Every valve will be calculated according to EN13136 and factory tested according to EN12284. The Design is according to CE PED 97/23/EC.

Dependant or Independant
First of all determine wether the valve has to back pressure independant or dependant For depressurising to atmospheric pressure -> the back pressure dependant valves (SVA) In situations where the back pressure cannot be neglected -> the back pressure independant safety devices (SVU)

Bursting Discs
Further the single or dual safety valves can be supplied with bursting discs and excess flow valves. When the working pressure overrides the set pressure of the valve, the disc bursts and a manometer or pressostate mounted on the excess flow valve will detect (and show) the working pressure. The bursting disc gives an incontrovertable proof of the opening of the valve.

Available types (Single or Dual Safety valves)
In most cases the valve has to tested every year. As the safety valve has to be dismounted, a dual safety valve combination is a good solution.
SVA becomes WVB SVA
SVU becomes WVB SVU
The Dual safety valve combination consists of a two safety valves mounted on a three way valve (WVB)

The following safety valves are standard supplied;
SVA10-20 up to SVA50-65 with flange connections,
SVA15-25 with screwing ends,
SVA10-20 up to SVA50-65 with welding ends,
SVU8-15 with welding ends,
SVU15-25 and SVU20-32 with screwing ends,
SVU15-25 up to SVU65-100 with flange connections.
N.B.: All of the above are also available as dual safety valves and together with bursting discs !

Conditions of Operation
The valves are applicable at working pressure up to 40 Bars and temperatures ranging from -60 up to +150 C. However with reference to sealing materials, the applicable temperature at inlet connection should always be mentioned.
